The Quintessential Holiday Romance.
Who are we? We are every stereotype you’ve ever thought of – and not. We are a twosome who incorporate the dream to roam into ever facet of our lives. We’ve taken 4 mini-retirements so far, and there’s more in the works.
I’m Em, a corporate hippy, who dreams of travel daily and – of course – works full time in the travel industry. That means a bucket of time writing about the world’s most beautiful places, and a huge amount of longing. I’ve spent over 3 years travelling Europe, Asia, the Middle East and more.
And I’m Dave. I’m a biologist turned tour guide turned volunteer travel leader. I’ve led tours all through Australia and lived in South America, Sri Lanka and Germany.
Our unlikely story begins in a campsite in Argentina, with Dave as the tour guide, and Em as the lovestruck traveller. They said it wouldn’t last. The rest, however, has been one adventure after another.

Together, Dave and Em have over 20 year’s experience in the travel industry, across management, marketing, product and operations. That’s what makes a colab with them so valuable. They can write stories that make people fall in love, or put together private tour itineraries that take you seriously off the beaten track.
